Second Week - First activity

First activity ( making sandwich)
We still going on the food unite and the words for this week are ( bread, chicken, and chees) I decided to provide an activity that include all these things which is making sandwich. The students were very excited to make their own sandwich. The activity went well and the students love it. Most of the students finished making their sandwich quickly and eat it, so during the extra time I asked them questions about the activity such as what did you put inside your sandwich , which one you liked most and so on .

  1. It's great to see some of the work you're doing - it must have cost you some money to feed the whole class! I am interested that after they finished you asked them questions - why questions? I think that sometimes we focus too much on questions and that a more natural form of conversation may be more beneficial - it allows for more negotiation and give-and-take, so think about simple descriptive comments, too.

  2. Maybe you can change questioning to a chicken sandwich party where they talk about what they have done with a friend , how they make it, did their mom at home make it as they did , what she used and so on and then let them tell you what they have talked about with their friends.
