Last Week of TP
This week every one was busy preparing for the national day, all my student were participating so they were practicing most of the time.


I tried to do one creative lesson related to the national day. The activity was making the UAE flag which they will use it in their show.
The lesson went very well, it was using their finger to print the colors of the flag. The students loved the activity and they were motivated and engaged. This activity helped me to assess the children if they know the colors or not, most of them knew which color they should put.
Reflective journal on the Jelly lesson
Literacy lesson ( Making Jelly, /j/ sound)
The lesson was in KG2 class with 21 students divided in two groups according to their learning ability. This week the students were starting to learn (j) sound.
The preparation were very good, all the materials for the whole and the small groups where ready. The activities where related to the aim of the lesson and they helped to achieve the learning outcomes. Using more creative arts was useful, the children love the activity and they enjoy it because they were busy making new thing and they were excited to see the results.
The whole part was simple, reviewing the alphabet sounds and actions because the children used to that after they learn a new sound. The new thing for them was using the smart board, it have benefits such as attracting and all the children were able to see the pictures. In addition, using the actions to learn sounds is good because it helps the students to remember the sound better.
However, the lesson could be better if I asked one child each time to come out and do the action for his friends and make the sound to see if the students know the sounds or nor, especially for these who were moving and not participating with the others. I could ask the child to come out and do the actions with me to motivate him to participate.
Making jelly was new thing for the children, usually they don’t do these stuff in the class. The students were happy to start and make their jelly. In general the activity worked well, all the students were engaged and want to finish their task. The activity could be better if they did all the parts by themselves from putting the jelly in the cups to putting it in the fridge. Also it could be better if it was group working such as having big container and all the children work together to make the jelly.

Second Week / Second part of TP
The first creative lesson was creating Bee hat and Frog hat for (b sound, f sound).
Each child can choose either to make frog or bee hat.
At the beginning I put the activity in two tables one for the frog and the other is for the bee. It was difficult to manage two tables in one time because the activity needs modeling and the children kept asking for my help, for that I took the activity and put it in one table this helped me to control the children.

First Week / Second Part of TP
During this week I taught only two days because on Sunday both my class teachers were absent , in Wednesday it was a trip to Al Ain palace and Thursday is a holiday.
The first lesson was numeracy (differences and similarities)
for the whole group I used different shapes , colors and children photos. Using these materials I asked the students to select the different shape or photo between 3 or 4 other things.
for the small activity time , the students choose 3 same pictures of fruits and 1 different then they stick it , color it and made a bracelet from it.
Evaluation :
For the two days , I tried to start implementing creative activates in the classroom.

Evaluation :
During the whole group, using children pictures is useful because it helps to grasp their attentions. Also asking the students to come out to the board to answer and choose who is siting nicely.
The tidy up time improved , using the crown works very well with the students and motivate them to clean and sit fast.
However, Some children faced problem with word different and similar because it was new for them. However using drilling and repeating was useful because these words where important for the small activity groups which worked very well and the children enjoy doing it.
I need more interesting activities during the whole such as stories , songs ( I could use the smart board) and let students interact with it. Also I need new strategy to make students lesson to me when they lose the attention such as clapping.
I need to make the activity more challenging for some students ( differentiate the activity), because some of them get the idea easily and did it quickly while the others not.

The small activity was creating octopus using different materials. Students loved the activity and they were motivated to make their own octopus.

My first day in the Kindergarten
Hi everyone
My first day in the school was good, I knew the teachers and the principal in the school so that wasn’t a problem for me. First of all, I discus what I am doing in the TP and my action research topic with Ms. Sally which is the head of the English teachers. After that I met my MST teacher Ms. Nicole and I explain for here that I am doing 50% of her teaching and we discuss the weekly plan but until now I didn’t discuss my research topic with her because that day she was busy with parents.
On Sunday I did one lesson in numeracy and it was about sorting things. The lesson was OK however I faced a problem teaching them because I don’t know their names and the teaching style they are used too. I think we need few days to observe before we start teaching. Also in this day my teacher was busy and in Monday which is today we had a trip to Bwadi mall. So actually I didn’t have a normal day until now !!!

Introduction
